Muller Park Tennis Club's annual Grahame Priest and Warren McLennan Charity Day proved a major success with 50 enthusiasts attending.

Most hit the court for a game but others were just happy to relax on the sidelines and cheer others on.
The action got under way from 11am on four courts, with breaks for the barbecue lunch and a popular afternoon tea.
Best of all, more than $3000 was raised for Camp Quality Western Region.
Camp Quality representative, Anne Bassett, reminded the group that almost every family had been touched by cancer in some way.
The organisation gives ongoing support to children and their families through fun days, camps, weekends away, offering a helping hand so that they are not alone in their journey.
Tom Barclay warmly remembered past club members Grahame Priest and Warren McLennan and also the purpose of the day, which was "to be able to put a smile on the faces of children and families going through cancer".
Special thanks to Sharon MacInnes who made the beautiful bedspread this year and also to Renee Ballard for the Avon baskets and Robyn Rawlinson for the pamper baskets. Thanks to all members and friends for your support of this very worthwhile day.

Next Sunday will be the monthly Tom Toohey Competition, starting at 1pm. There will be no ladies' tennis this Wednesday but it will resume again at 9.30am on Wednesday, October 8. New players are most welcome.
