Constable James Lee from Hay, Robert Wilkin from Glenmore Park, William Carney from Dubbo and Garry Pereira, also from Dubbo.
One officer, Probationary Constable Greg Foster, had been posted to Wellington.
Constable Pereira said he was glad to be in Dubbo as his wife had a business here.
“It’s worked out really well,” he said.
“Everyone’s been great so far.’’
Constable William Carney left Dubbo and lived on the Central Coast for about 14 years, prior to that he was employed in the mining industry.
“Mining wasn’t for me, it’s a different kind of lifestyle and it wasn’t my thing,’’ he said.
“It’s great being back in Dubbo.”
Orana LAC commander Superintendent Stan Single said he was delighted with the probationary constables.
“We have to put our bids in to the academy and sometimes we get what we ask for and sometimes we don’t.
“We’ve done pretty well this time.
Superintendent Single said new faces at the station rejuvenated the environment.
“People get promoted, apply for special positions and move on, they rotate their specialities and skills and new staff refreshes the workplace. Dubbo is also a growing city and we need to grow with it,” he said.
