Phillips won the first three races for Parkes-based Wright on Delightful Day, Sattely Grey and I'm A Snip and then won the Cup on Mr Corone for Nyngan trainer Rodney Robb.
Given a charmed run by Phillips, Mr Corone ($2.80 fav.) lasted to win the Boss Agriculture PJ O'Brien Memorial Cup (1400m) by a head from Shen Long (Troy Sweeney, $3) with Summa Cum Sadie (Aaron Sweeney, $8) third.
The opening event, the Rabobank Class B Handicap (800m), saw Delightful Day (Tim Phillips, $2.50 fav.) shaving the lead before getting a head margin decision over El Nomac (Alan Barton, $4.40) while Jock Cum laude (Aaron Sweeney, $2.80) finished third.
Stately Grey (Tim Phillips, $3) had a cosy run before winning the Statewide Sheds Maiden Plate (1000m) from Fiery devil (Rebeka Priest, $2.70 fav.) and Bratimar's Rocket (Rickey Blewitt, $11).
Tim Phillips again gave his mount a nice run behind the leaders and when given more rein I'm A Snip ($3.50) broke clear to win the Woodham Petroleum Landmark Class B Handicap (1200m) by two lengths from Oh So Beautiful (Rebeka Priest, $6.50) and Best Bo (Billy Owen, $7).
The Leo Harland, Gilgandra-trained Kangaroos Ted (Nyssa Burrells, $3.50) produced a strong run down the outside to win the Evergreen Turf Maiden Plate (1400m) by a neck from Chocolate Bolt (Billy Owen, $4.40).
Over eight lengths away in third was Basic Model (Troy Sweeny, $2.80 fav.)
Backing up from a good win at Collarenebri, Superbad (Billy Owen, $2.50 fav.) set the pace and was too good for Cara Donna (Aaron Sweeny, $10) and Bis Ko Cho (Tim Phillips, $21) in the $7,000 Dubbo City Toyota Sprint Handicap (1000m).
Trained at Dubbo by Cindy Monaghan, Superbad is raced in partnership with media personality Tim Moses.
Following on from Wellington today, there are upcoming meetings around the area at Gulargambone (Saturday), Mudgee (Saturday, October 4) and then the Mungery Picnics (Sunday, October 5).
