Co-ordinator Dan French explained the good response to the event had resulted in two new teams being formed to play.
"The strong interest shown by the women during last week's game demonstrated to us that there is a definite need to introduce mixed cricket as an ongoing event at the stadium," French said.
To cater for the mixed competition Dubbo Sports World have adapted the popular Blitz indoor rules, which work so well in the 'Incredi-cricket' competition, to cater for the needs of the female player.
The format for the mixed competition sees the five-a-side mixed teams having a maximum of two male players, and all-girl teams are welcomed, French said.
While women are always welcome to play in the men's teams and there are no restrictions upon them, French said they may feel intimidated by the prospect.
"We'd like more women to play but they may feel that they lack the confidence," he said.
"This format that we have worked on has the focus on people being able to just have a game of social cricket with workmates and friends."
The emphasis on a short, fun game of cricket was extremely well received by the girls who had trialled the game thus far and would not require a huge time commitment from players.
"We are offering 40-minute games so they don't have to commit for five hours," he said.
"The timeframe is the equivalent to the time taken for a game of indoor netball so the players can simply have a bat, have a bowl and go home."
The competition is scheduled for Monday nights, and another two free 'come and try' nights will be staged over the next fortnight.
