The Magpies have been the front-runners in the Group 11 under-18s competition all year and will start as favourites with many for this weekend's grand final against Dubbo CYMS.
With a host of exciting talents in the squad, namely halfback Nick Greenhalgh, winger Pat Murphy and forward Traie Merritt, Grogan said he's enjoyed every minute of their season.
"They're a terrific bunch of young blokes and they're really good mannered, if you want to be part of a team this is the one," he said.
"They play good footy and they're a pleasure to be around.
"They're a popular mob of kids and the parents have been good too so a lot of the town is behind them especially because of the way they play, they're never dirty."
While there is no doubting the talent of the side, Grogan said an ongoing issue for his side has been keeping the youngsters in the game.
Both senior sides struggled for numbers at certain times during the year with the reserve grade side finishing seventh and the first grade side coming in eighth.
"It's the biggest challenge, there's so many kids in town who are really good footballers but they just aren't interested, and these are kids who played representative football," Grogan said.
"I think it's a challenge in most small town clubs but this year has been a good year and hopefully the boys can put it together on Sunday, I'm looking forward to it."
Grogan gave a lot of credit to under-18s coach Cameron Greenhalgh and said if the Magpies were to lift the silverware on Sunday afternoon, a lot of it would be down to his work during the year.
"He's a terrific coach and he's the coach of the Western Division under-16s and he and his two assistants do great work and get along well with the boys," he said.
"All the boys listen to him, I think he's a terrific coach and the boys would say the same, he's an asset to the club."
