There were many activities the kids participated in including, face painting, Aboriginal games and the children even got to see a performance from the Delroy Campus Aboriginal Boys Group.
There was also a performance from the Delroy Campus Aboriginal Girls Group and the children from Dubbo West Preschool.
Dubbo West Preschool Aboriginal Support Worker Mandy Holmes said everyone had been looking forward to the day.
"Naidoc Day is a great day for the kids," she said.
"It also brings all of the community together to celebrate this day."
There was also a didgeridoo performance by Doug Gordon, as well as judging of the wool-designed geckos.
Parents, carers, family and the community also had the opportunity to view the Aboriginal arts and craft from the Dubbo West Preschool children.
"Everyone enjoys themselves," Ms Holmes said.
"It is a chance for all those who have come here to celebrate, to join in with the dancing performances and face painting."
