WITH cricket season fast approaching, local youngsters will have a great opportunity to meet two of the state's leading cricketers tomorrow as part of the Country Blitz tour.

Trent Copeland and Scott Henry of the NSW Blues will be visiting local primary schools as well as unveiling new sightscreens at Lady Cutler Oval, a 'What's Your Plan B?' initiative organised by Transport NSW.
After the unveiling of the sightscreens there will also be another chance for local cricketers to meet the Blues pair and Cricket NSW Western Zone Development Manager, Matthew Tabbernor believes it's a day aspiring players would not want to miss out on.
"It's a great opportunity, they'll be visiting six schools and there will be a meet and greet in the afternoon and anyone is welcome to attend that," he said.
"They'll be doing various things at the schools, there will be a few clinics, some assembly talks, a Q and A session and the chance for some photos."
The sightscreens at Lady Cutler is another boost for cricket in Dubbo. They are part of the promotion run by Transport NSW with the aim to provide upgrades to facilities in country areas.
It has also come about as the local Rugby Cricket Club have been supporting the Good Sports program, which works in communities to make sure clubs are responsible and safe through the management of alcohol.
While there will be plenty happening the main drawcards are sure to be Copeland and Henry.
Both come from the central west with Copeland hailing from Bathurst and Henry carving out a successful junior career in Mudgee before making the move to Sydney.
Copeland has been a regular wicket-taker in the Sheffield Shield in recent years and was rewarded with a baggy green during Australia's tour of Sri Lanka in 2011.
Henry burst on to the scene with the Blues last season and will be keen to push and make one of the top order places in the batting lineup his own in 2014/15.
"It's good that Trent and Scott are coming out because they're from this country region and have probably played on a lot of the grounds in Dubbo," Tabbernor said.
"They make it out here and they love it, there's nothing too much for them and they know what it's like to play in country areas and how it can be going from the country to playing in Sydney."
Henry will visit St Mary's Primary School, St Laurence's Primary School and Dubbo South Primary School tomorrow while Copeland will be at Orana Heights Primary School and at No. 1 Oval with Dubbo Primary School.
Both will then be at Lady Cutler from 3.30pm.
