A separate ballot saw councillor Ben Shields elected unopposed as the deputy mayor for the next year.
The chairperson for the council’s Planning and Development Committee, Works and Services Committee and Finance and Policy Committee will be elected at committee meetings on Monday evening.
Committee Meetings will continue to be held every third Monday of the month from 5.30pm in the Council Chambers at the Civic Administration Building.
They will be held in the following order: Planning and Development, Works and Services, Finance and Policy.
Ordinary Meetings of council will continue to be held on the fourth Monday of every month from 5.30pm in the Council Chambers at the Civic Administration Building unless otherwise advised.
