Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre is scheduled to reopen today for those who love a splash or to master their strokes.
Dubbo City Council expects its facility to draw 75,000 patrons through the gate in the coming season.
Joden Wilson yesterday ensured he was the first to dive in since the pool closed for winter in April.
The aquatic leisure centre employee took a dip while on a break from work preparing the pool.
Last season more than 92,600 people enjoyed the pool.
Council recreation planning and programs manager James McKechnie said as the days grew longer and warmer he looked forward to seeing families make use of the aquatic leisure centre.
"You can spend many hours with the family at the centre at a relatively low cost," Mr McKechnie said.
"While the weather is still warming up the 50-metre pool will be heated to 25 degrees Celsius while the children's pool will be heated to 28 degrees Celsius.
"The centre has free barbecue facilities, in addition to a kiosk.

"There are also lots of shaded, grassy areas - perfect for picnics in this mild warm weather."
"The giant water slides which are a popular feature are currently being replaced and will officially open on time in October just as it starts to really warm up."
Mr McKechnie said with the reopening of the centre two swimming clubs and learn-to-swim schools would begin to make use of the facility again.
"If you're looking for a great way to get fit and get outdoors now the cold weather has eased up, I encourage you to come down and swim some laps in the heated 50-metre pool," Mr McKechnie said.
"The centre is manned by fully trained life guards, and is drug and alcohol free, so a great facility for our community to enjoy in the warmer months."
