NARROMINE: The I Heart Art exhibition at St Augustine’s School will open with a Cocktail Party and Auction, the exhibition will include almost 400 catalogued works of 60 artists from right across Australia.
DUBBO: Diesel - Lit Up - The Singles Tour '89 -'14 will be performed at the Dubbo Regional Theatre in Darling Street from 8pm. Tickets are just $55.
DUBBO: Residents are being encouraged to go behind bars and spend time with the stars at the Old Dubbo Gaol’s open air cinema, which will be screening a different movie every Saturday night throughout the month of September. This week Scary Movie will be shown. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are $10.
YOUR LOCAL RFS STATION: The 2014 RFS Open Day will be held today from 10am to 2pm. In Dubbo you can visit stations at Boothenba Brigade Station, 11 Durraween Lane, Dubbo or visit Eulomogo Brigade Station on Wilfred Smith Drive, Firgrove. The event will run between 10am and 2pm.
DUBBO: The Walk towards Hope, Suicide Awareness Walk will be held at teh NALAG Centre in Welchman Street today from 11.30am. The walk will start from Bob Jane T-Marts in Macquarie Street and proceed across the LH Ford Bridge to Lions Park in West Dubbo. There will be a Remembering Ceremony at 12pm before lunch at 12.30pm. Cost is free with a barbecue lunch provided and promotional giveaways.
DUBBO: Dubbo and Orana Region Orchid Society presents the Annual Spring Orchid Show. The show will be held at the meeting room near Orchid House in Victoria Park from 10am to 4pm Saturday and 10am to 2pm Sunday. Sponsored by Shenandaah Orchids and John Allen - Orchid Interest.
DUBBO: The Riverside Markets will be held from 8.30am to 12.30pm at Ollie Robins Oval. Stall Holders are most welcome with stalls available from $25. (bring your own cover and tables, power available). Must be set up by 8am. Entry is free.
