This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first Education Week and the theme from which, Lighting the Way to a Better World, was adopted as this year's theme in commemoration.
The school celebrated with various activities including our annual Athletics Carnival, open classrooms and an awards assembly.
Awards for students who excelled in literacy, numeracy, application to class and who have been outstanding role models were given to two students from each class.
The athletics carnival proved very successful, with two new records set and 43 students qualifying to compete at the Dubbo District Athletics Carnival to be held in Dubbo.
A disco was held to commend close to 100 students who had a 100 per cent attendance rate for semester one.
These students were also treated to a barbecue lunch.
