Joel Bones has been appointed associate principal at Crowe Horwath after 12 years of working his way up the ranks.
Joel joined Crowe Horwath as a cadetship out of school in 2002. While working he completed a degree in accountancy and an advanced diploma of financial planning.
"I am very proud to be formally appointed to a senior leadership position with Crowe Horwath. I have built my career with this firm and have had the opportunity to develop through variety of different roles, positions and service lines without having to leave Dubbo," he said.
Born and raised in the city, Joel has been a passionate supporter of Dubbo and featured in campaigns promoting the benefits for professionals in moving here.
"I enjoy living in Dubbo - it is a great regional centre that has everything I need, you feel as if you are part of a community rather than just one person in a big city," he said.
Joel said young people shouldn't feel they have to leave their home town to achieve a successful career.
"The cadetships at Crowe Horwath provide a great opportunity for high achieving young staff to commence and continue their careers locally here in Dubbo. Several accountants have commenced their careers here over the years and still remain here today," he said.
