POLICE have charged a man in Broken Hill over alleged firearm and drug offences following a search warrant on Tuesday.

Officers attached to the Barrier Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Gaffney Lane shortly after 8.30am.
During the search police located and seized two long-arm firearms, A Suzuki dirt bike, A number of laptop computers, power tools, a caddy welder, prescription tablets, an amount of a clear crystal substance believed to be illicit drugs, chemicals and equipment believed to have been used to manufacture prohibited drugs and personal items believed to have been stolen.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Broken Hill Police Station.
He was charged with possess unregistered and prohibited firearm, not keep firearm safely and two counts of good suspected stolen in/on premises.
The man was refused bail, to appear at Broken Hill Local Court on Wednesday.
Police investigations continue.
