The parliamentary hearing was commissioned late last year because residents were unhappy with the coronial inquest taking so long.
However then-Premier Barry O'Farrell requested that the government inquiry be held back to avoid prejudicing the other hearing.
The coronial inquest is under way this week but will then resume for a week on November 10.
A government spokesperson confirmed the parliamentary inquest will still go ahead next month.
A site inspection will be carried out next Wednesday before a public meeting at the town hall between 5.30pm and 7pm. A public hearing will be held on Thursday between 9am and 2.30pm.
So far 45 submissions have been made to the inquiry, which aims to establish the role the National Parks and Wildlife Service played in the fire that started in a camping area in Warrumbungle National Park.
The committee will be chaired by Shooters and Fishers Party legislative council member Robert Brown.
Members of the public are welcome to speak at the public meeting but are asked to provide an expression of interest by emailing their contact details to GPSC5.GPSC5@parliament.nsw.gov.au.
