Three year 11 Macquarie Anglican Grammar School students have been given the opportunity of a lifetime with the invitation to a national science forum in Canberra.

James Hughes and Samantha Wallace will attend the National Youth Science Forum in January. Emily Rath was selected as a reserve.
The two week forum is supported by Rotary and will give provide students with insight into the practical applications of science after school.
Samantha said she is looking forward to experiencing life in the medical science field, her hopeful career path.
"I want to get into medical science and this forum will help me to figure out particularly what I want to do," she said.
James, an aspiring engineer, said he was surprised to be accepted for the forum.
"Heaps of people applied to go to the forum, not many people actually get to go," he said.
Aspiring physiotherapist, nutritionist or pharmacist, Emily said the forum gives the students that attend an advantage over other students.
"The forum teaches you study habits which make it easier for year 12," she said.
Monique Mintern head of maths and science at MAGS said the whole school is very proud of the students.
"This is the first time the school has applied for the forum, so we've had amazing success," she said.
"These are some of the brightest students at the school and this is a fantastic for their career paths."
