7.40am: In some huge sporting news for Dubbo, local hockey star Emma Corcoran has been selected in the Australian All Schools side after starring for NSW at the recent National Championships. Our very own national representative will tour Europe with the Australian squad next year.

DUBBO: TWO men caught outside Wellington Correctional Centre with illicit drugs and mobile phones have been refused bail in Dubbo Local Court.
NARROMINE: The application for coal seam gas exploration in Narromine was denied on Wednesday. The Minister for Resources and Energy Anthony Roberts announced the NSW Office of Coal Seam Gas (CSG) has informed the applicants, CEEMAC Pty Ltd that it has refused its Petroleum Exploration Licence Application.
DUBBO: THE Orana Local Area Command (LAC) has thrown its support behind this year's Wear It Purple Day, an initiative that aims to tackle bullying.
