The students delivered an acknowledgement to country, handed out merit awards, certificates and birthday certificates and then performed their item, a dance to the song 'wiggle it.'
A large audience of proud parents and grandparents were on hand in the school hall to listen to the lovely reading by the students and to watch them strut their stuff on stage.
Well done KC! We know look forward to 5/6H's assembly.
Last week we said our goodbyes to Mrs Taylor who is leaving us to go on maternity leave. Mrs Taylor is due in two weeks' time and the whole school community joins me in wishing Mrs Taylor a relaxing few weeks and then a safe and trouble free birth.
All the best Mrs Taylor and we'll see you back soon.
Both boys' and girls' touch football teams played their round games of the NSW PSSA knockout in week 4 and unfortunately both teams went down.
The boys lost 11-3 and the girls lost 9-5, but both played well and put up a good fight. Thanks to Mr Shipp and Mrs MacLeod for coaching the teams.
Another special celebration coming up is NAIDOC.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in boomerang painting, cook Johnny cakes, thread some beads on to string, join in some Aboriginal dancing and lots more.
It would be great to see another fantastic roll up from our school community as we celebrate this special culture.
Students have the opportunity to dress up in red, black and yellow on the day and join in activities.
We look forward to seeing our whole school community come together on this special day.
