The Roosters made the most of going up against a depleted Cowboys pack and a hat-trick to five-eighth Kewa Kili almost led his side to a shock win but at fulltime there was nothing to separate the teams, finishing at 26-all.
Wellington were down on numbers with eight regulars out of action due to work commitments or injury.?This was compounded further when powerhouse centre went down with injury inside 10 minutes.
Chris Thompson led from the front while Trent Forrest, Jake Tolhurst, Ken Everson, Steve Matteson and Daniel Stanley-Barrow all crossed for tries.
Tim Hillam and Mason Garland also crossed for the Roosters, who drew 22-all with CYMS back in round one, while both Wellington's Wade Potter and Cowboy Lewis Stanley kicked three conversions.
The draw is enough to guarantee the Cowboys second place on the ladder with Justin Toomey-White's men enjoying the bye in next week's final round.
In the day's other match the Parkes Spacemen continued their recent string of huge scores with a 74-6 mauling of the struggling Narromine Jets.
The defending premiers have now incredibly scored more than 200 points in their past three matches after wins over Westside, Forbes and now Narromine.
The Jets on the other hand have conceded close to 300 points in their past five matches alone as yesterday were again forced to pay a number of players in both and reserve grade.
While Parkes are guaranteed to finish fourth or fifth their recent form will fill them confidence, especially considering yesterday's win was achieved without standout Dennis Moran.
Five-eighth Alex Prout led the way with four tries while winger Aparosa Ada, Evi Nioko and hooker Tino Ionatana all bagged doubles.
Sam Hitchcock was the lone try-scorer for the Jets, who will look to turn things around in next week's final round match against Dubbo Westside.
