Travelling to Forbes without any weight of expectation or pressure to perform Cowra skipper Adam Mieklejohn said his team has taken training pretty casually this week but are still hoping to put a stop to Forbes' momentum.
"We got a few injuries so we're not busting ourselves this week," Mieklejohn said.
"Obviously we want to win.
"They ruined our party with a four point win earlier this year, so were going to make sure they don't get a home semi."
With the Eagles in contention up until last weekends loss, looking back Mieklejohn said it was only one or two games that made the the difference.
"The close loss against Forbes (round 9) and the one point loss against Bathurst (round 5) stand out [as turning points]."
"That could of been us playing for third and fourth this weekend.
"The competition is very close," he said.
"Looking at recent form, as much as I hate to say it I think Orange Emus will be the team to beat.
"I'd like to see Dubbo or Forbes take it out though."
With plenty of positives to take out of the season, Mieklejohn is not aware of any players leaving the club and is keen to get the ball rolling for 2015.
"A few aren't travelling this weekend due to injuries but it'll be all systems on deck come next season."
After their win in Cowra last weekend the Dubbo Roos will be looking to take out the minor premiership this weekend against Mudgee.

Mieklejohn went onto say that his teams performance against the Roos in the corresponding match in Dubbo earlier this year was a highlight of his season.
The Cowra skipper said the Eagles should of won that day but despite the loss it still remains one of the best games they played.
The Eagles tackle Forbes at Grinstead Oval on Saturday at 3.15pm.
