Grenfell have shown their true potential in the last 2 games of the season with hard fought wins over Condo and West Wyalong. This momentum will hopefully continue after having the week off last week due to the bye.
If the recent good form continues, Grenfell should have too much for Canowindra.
Grenfell have only lost Jim McClelland from these games who again blown his ankle which could possibly have finished him for the year.
A good blend of youth and experience will take to the paddock on Saturday. The Grenfell team is made up of Al Leibick, Corey Clark, Brandon Doig, Matt Reid, Anthony Dixon, Kyle Anderson, Bill Dinham, Jake Taylor, Ben Kelly, Andrew Brown, Mark Hughes, Mick D’Ombrain, Tom Dinham, Matt Randall, Stuart Hughes. To come off the bench Grenfell will have Steve Cooper, Alex Carney, Jeremy D’Ombrain, Sean King, Sam Johnson, Sam Tognetti, Cole Pedrick, Josh Knight, Hugh Matthews and Alex Walsh.
It would be great to see a big crowd on the day for what will definitely be the last game at home for the season. This will be the last game at home for a few of these players as some of the older ones are hanging up the boots whilst some of the younger ones will be leaving town.
Kick-off is at 3.15 so come on down to support the local boys hopefully get up over Canowindra. Whether you have a mate, brother, son, husband or no-one in particular they would love nothing more than to have a strong home crowd behind them. Full bar and canteen will be in operation.
Juniors
The Grenfell Juniors are this weekend hosting SIRU semi-finals on Sunday. Grenfell will be represented by the under 11’s and 13’s. Good luck to these both these sides. Games will kick off at 10.30 so come down for a look at some of the players of the future.
