The stores were given a scored based on their training, store presentation, customer service, growth over the past year and average transactions.
Store Franchisee Rick Lindner said Eagle Boys Dubbo received an 89 per cent average across the categories.
“We’re really lucky we have good staff, they’re easily motivated. We treat our staff like they’re family so they feel like their hard work is contributing to themselves,” Mr Lindner said.
Mr Lindner said while he knew Dubbo scored within the top five, they would not find out their ranking until the national conference in September next year when an overall winner was announced.
The franchisee said the announcement the store was in the top five is a great recognition of its achievements.
“It means you know were you’re sitting. Eagle Boys is really big in Queensland so for us to be in the top ten it means we’re doing alright here in the country,” he said.
Mr Lindner said Dubbo was consistently in the top 10 stores, and 14 months ago when the pizza place became part of the Eagle Boys franchise again it was his goal to remain as one of the best.
He said three of his 32 staff had already received national awards for their Eagle Boys achievements, such as excellent customer service.
