The Dubbo City Bowling Club has continued its hugely successful week at the Regional 12 titles, with another competition win on Thursday.
City pair Annette McMillan and Merrill O'Sullivan won their second title of the week, this time the taking out the pairs crown.
The victory in the pairs goes with the win over Canowindra they had in the senior fours championship on Tuesday.
Thursday's match was a tight affair for the entire 18 ends, but the Dubbo City duo were able to hold out Cowra Bowling Club's Ruby and Ivy Fogg, winning 14-11.
In a back and forth contest the game wasn't decided until the final end and even when Dubbo City were holding a one-shot lead on the 18th, they were cautious as any slip by them would have given their Cowra opponents the victory.
But there didn't need to be cautious as Dubbo City won the final end and won the match 14-11.
It was a match that tough to predict the whole way until the end.
Dubbo scored first on the board before the Fogg ladies got Cowra in front 7-1 by the sixth end.
McMillan and O'Sullivan claimed four shots on the eighth end, and it helped them to get the momentum as they led 10-7 with six ends to play.
Dubbo continued to maintain their slim advantage but they were given a scare when Cowra picked up three shots on the 17th end to make it 13-11 with one end to play.
With Cowra still well in the hunt and coming home strong the Dubbo pair knew they had to perform well and they did, managing to hang on claim the title.
In Wednesday's qualifying match, Dubbo advanced to the decider after defeating Blayney 17-14 while Cowra was too good for Mudgee's Ruxie Birchall and Barbara Sampson, who were defeated 23-12.
