Dubbo City Council issued the advice yesterday about the next part of the thoroughfare’s revitalisation.
The shoulder of the road on the southbound lane of Darling Street between Church and Wingewarra streets will be closed from Sunday for two weeks to allow for the installation of stormwater drainage.
Changed traffic conditions will be in place with the left-hand turning lane and centre-lane of the Darling and Wingewarra Street intersection southbound adjacent to the old Fire Station to be closed for the duration of the works.
Southbound motorists on Darling Street on approaching the intersection will be redirected into one lane.
A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works, and motorists are asked to obey all directions to ensure the safety of workers and road users.
The shoulder of the road will reopen on August 17, weather permitting, prior to the start of night road works.
