Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre Darling St | 6:30pm - The simple story of a dingo who catches a wombat and decides to make wombat stew, has been cleverly developed into a 'a true-blue-dinky-di-big-Aussie-Musical' for families and kids, complete with blobs of mud, very fine feathers, creepy crawlies, flies, gum nuts and a big bubbling billy can.
DUBBO: Netball - The Rawson Homes Premiership continues with round 11 taking place on Saturday. In the A Grade fixtures it's a battle between the two Apollo sides at 1pm as Phoenix and Zircons go head-to-head. The winner will fancy their chances of finishing second behind St Collegians, who will start big favourites in thier match against Fusion at 3pm.
DUBBO: Rugby - The Graincorp Cup season is coming to a close but Dubbo Rhinos Gold have their eyes firmly set on lifting the silverware at the end of the season. On Saturday afternoon they take on the Yeoval Eagles in the major semi-final with the winner advancing to the decider. Gates open at Caltex Park at 1.30pm with the match expected to kick off at 3pm.
DUBBO: Hockey - The Dubbo Blue Jays are out of finals contention but they will still fancy their chances of an upset on Saturday afternoon when they host third-placed Bathurst City. With only two rounds remaining the Jays will be keen to already start building for 2015 and the match at Pioneer Park begins at 3.30pm.
DUBBO: Basketball - The Dubbo Rams have endured a mixed season with some good performances followed by disappointing losses but on Saturday evening they'll host the Canberra Gunners for their last home game of 2014. The action at Dubbo Sports World begins from 5pm.
NARROMINE Show Ball at the Narromine Aerodrome. This is the night of nights in Narromine where the 2014 Narromine Show Girl is announced. The event is sold out. We hope all the people attending have a great time.

DUBBO: Rugby League - It's quickly approaching the end of the season in Group 11 and every match now is vital. Sunday is shaping up as the match of the season as the first-placed Dubbo CYMS welcome the second-placed Wellington Cowboys to Apex Oval. These have been the two form sides of the compeititon over the past couple of months so is set to be a belter. Under-18s kickoff at 10.30am and the main game is set to start at 1.30pm.
DUBBO: Rugby Union - The Qantas Wallabies are expected to arrive at Dubbo Airport at 4.30pm on Sunday before delighting local fans on Monday. On Monday the Bledisloe trophy will visit St Mary's Primary and Dubbo West Primary schools before a quick stop at Dubbo Square Shopping Centre. The team will arrive at Caltex Park at 2.30pm for an open training session where everyone is welcome to join in the activities before autographs and photos are available at 4.30. After that Ewan McKenzie and his side go to No. 1 Oval to run training sessions with with junior and senior sides. Definitely an amazing opportunity in our own backyard which is not to be missed!
DUBBO: Monday, August 4: Bush to Bledisloe. Apex Club's Caltex Park | Cobra St | From 2:30pm | FREE. The Bledisloe Cup it on its way to Dubbo, and with it comes the Qantas Wallabies in pursuit of their first triumph since 2002! A unique opportunity to meet the team through open training and fan activity sessions, grab your mates and come along to see the Wallabies do what they do best from 2:30pm! You may even get a chance to hold the prestigious cup itself!
