The Blues began well in attack with the forwards, led by Mitchell Smith, Josh Jazprizza and Hamish Fairall, dominating the ruck while prop Izaiah Raidaveta and lock Sam Hart began to make inroads into the Parkes defence, which in turn gave the backs plenty of room to move.

A centre-field bust by centre Tyler Woodrow saw him break four tackles to score out wide and the Blues were on their way.

Only two minutes later winger Lewis Foran made a break on a narrow blind side and raced away to score under the posts, and with the conversion by Jack Jones the Blues were up 12-0.

For the next 15 minutes the Parkes defence stood firm, repelling attack after attack by the Blues with Pat Berryman, Kel Rumble and Will Smith making breaks through the backs.

But right on half-time No.8 Tim Cushan crashed over in the corner, and with a magnificent sideline conversion by Jones the Blues went into oranges leading 19-0.

Parkes came out firing in the second half and dominated the early minutes.?After a high kick the Boars managed to get the score back to 19-5 with 20 minutes remaining.

The final minutes were all Dubbo though as Smith, Jazprizza, Cushan and Bill Cornish punched holes at will through the Parkes line, and tries to Jones, Cornish, Foran and Jazprizza and conversions to Cornish and Jones saw the Blues home to a comfortable victory.

A very positive improvement by the Blues on their previous performance, and the forwards continue to show great commitment to the structures they have in place, giving the fast Blues backline plenty of room to move.

Players player for the Blues was lock Josh Jazprizza, who is in a golden patch of form at present and is proving very difficult to stop. Best and fairest points for the day were three points to prop/hooker Mitchell Smith, two points went to Jazprizza, half Jack Jones and

captain Pat Berryman, while one point went to Hamish Fairall, Tyler Woodrow and Kel Rumble.

The third-placed Blues take on fourth-placed Wellington this weekend in Dubbo which should be a fantastic game of junior rugby.
