Dan and Laura Lumby, Ashleigh Boatman, Nicole Harte, Kathryn Taylor, Tim Hosking and Alex Brouff were selected from a field of 32 players from five regional clubs who applied for a position on the team.
Leading up to the selection process, a development grant from the national body, AFDA, was secured and two training days were organised in Cowra, with an expected attendance of 20 people
"It is great to see some of our DUFF players make the team, with a couple more only just missing out," Hosking said.
"We are lucky in Dubbo to have some really strong women players, with four of our women named on the side. This is a great result for Dubbo Ultimate.
"The response we had was awesome, with more than 50 people travelling from all over regional NSW to attend over the two days. Some people travelled over four hours each way just to be there for the day."
Those two training days have been a great opportunity for players to pick up some tournament-level skills, tactics and practice drills.
The group was also lucky enough to get some coaching help from Andrew Jackson, who recently took a team from Canberra to second place in the 2014 Opens Nationals Championships.
"It was great to see people from Albury, Bathurst, Wagga, Dubbo and Temora all there, and I'm sure we'll continue to improve the reach and quality of Ultimate being played in inland NSW," Hosking said.
"Now we'll get down to some team training and organisation, with the aim of putting the most competitive team on the paddock in Sydney as possible.
"We'll go up against some very strong metro club sides, but I'm sure we can put a few points on those guys and maybe even give some of them a scare."
The NSW Mixed Championships will be held in the Hills District of Sydney on September 6-7 and will include 16 teams from across NSW.
