The 43-year-old was last seen about 8.30am on Thursday and was reported missing by family members.
Police from Orana Local Area Command commenced a massive land and air search, setting up a command post at Geurie Cemetery on Friday and calling in local SES and Volunteer Rescue Association crews and the PolAir chopper.
About 9am Sunday police were called to Eulomogo Creek, five kilometres east of Dubbo, after a body was discovered in a vehicle.
While a formal identification is yet to take place, the body is believed to be the missing man’s.
Investigations continue and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
