Held at the Dubbo RSL Club, the information night provided nominees with the tips and tricks required to write a winning entry.
Chamber of Commerce President Andrew Toole said the individuals and businesses who attended were told what judges were looking for, the entry form questions worth higher marks and the process to lodge an online entry form.
The night was designed to make it easier for businesses to enter the awards, based on feedback from last year.
Vice President of the Chamber Megan Dixon said there are multiple reasons to submit an entry for the Rhinos, including the opportunity to publicly acknowledge, promote and reward business excellence.
She said preparing an entry is a chance to review business performance and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company.
Entries are free, and membership with the Chamber is not required.
Entries can be submitted online from July 1 until 5pm on Wednesday July 30.
There are 20 categories in this year's Rhino Awards, with the winners of eight of the awards gaining automatics entry into the 2015 New South Wales Business Chamber Regional Business Awards (Central West).
An independent panel of business experts from outside the region will judge the nominees.
