The club was formed in 1997 as a way of providing help and support to families of those who are hearing impaired.
Run by volunteers, the full name of the group is the Dubbo and District Parent Support Group for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and while the majority of members are deaf children and their parents, the club also welcomes adult members.
"We have a monthly meeting but we also have excursions for the students. We are going to the Dubbo show and in the past we have also been to the zoo and a few other places," Dubbo Deaf Club secretary and founder Donna Rees said.
"We provide financial assistance for people who are having difficulty with medical costs and accommodation. Sometimes the assistance they get isn't enough so we add to that," Ms Rees said.
Deaf Club president Wendy Daley said support for the 12-15 members and there families is one of the most important aspects.
