Given the cold and wet conditions your support has shown the importance of this game to country people.
A special thank you must also go to the hardworking team at Dubbo Council, Dubbo RSL Memorial Club, and Group 11 - as well as the Cattlemans Country Motor Inn - for your assistance from earlier in the year right through to game day. The feedback from our visits to schools, the hospital and the zoo have been positive and achieved much for rugby league's presence in the community.
The support shown at the rotunda at the Country-City Meet the Teams Signing Session on Thursday afternoon gave an indication of the town's feeling towards the game in Dubbo and the colours of the Caltex Park Rhino showed the pride the bush has in the players.
Another highlight of the week was Friday night's Country Rugby League 80th Year Celebration Dinner and the attendance of the 1974 Western Division Amco Cup winning side - as well as the Amco Cup itself - the whole night was a special occasion.
While the game result was a draw - Country Rugby League was the winner.
Yours Sincerely
Terry Quinn
