While there were some representatives from Young and Bathurst, it was Dubbo all the way when it came to tallying the results.
NSW Cyclones Junior Indoor Cricket co-ordinator Greg King was pleased with the turnout, although disappointed that Bathurst didn't field teams in the three grades in the three age divisions.
"Under 13s was won by Dubbo Reds, and under 15s and 17s by Dubbo Blues," he said.
The championships are the gate-opener giving cricketers a chance to play for the NSW Country Cyclones at Cricket Australia's National Championships.
From the Western Championships teams are selected to represent Western at the upcoming Country Championships in May, followed by the national tournament in July.
"Quite a lot of players from the western region have dominated selection in the Cyclone squads over the past few years and the talent on display on Saturday indicates the same will apply this year," King said.
"It was quite a long, intense competition, with the standard consistent with previous years."
More cricketers padded up on Sunday for the third annual Glenn Wells Memorial Indoor Cricket Charity Day at the complex.
King said 24 teams of four headed onto the pitch to remember a wonderful person and player.
"We had approximately 100 people participating in the four-a-side Blitz format," he confirmed.
The day was held as a fundraiser for the Wells Family to distribute as they see fit and this year they chose to assist young cricketer Wade Burrowes who has been selected to represent Australia in the under 15s side to tour Sri Lanka next month. Previous recipients of the fundraiser have included Palliative Care, the Dubbo Base Hospital Oncology Unit and the local Men's Shed, on behalf of the Wells Family.
King said $2300 was raised on Sunday, with an additional $1000 coming from a 100 club and various other fundraising initiatives undertaken on behalf of the Burrowes family by by Greg French .
"Some were playing in memory of Glenn and others were there to assist Wade. It was 50/50," King said.
The money goes a long way towards their target of some $4000.
"It's a pretty good chunk of it and goes to fostering the achievements of one of the region's finest young cricketers. With the training, it costs a lot, so it's good for Wade to receive this kind of support."
The winning 100 club numbers were 28, 68 and 74, with those people advised to contact Geoff Burrowes at Hot Docs to claim their prize.
