Memorial day organiser Greg King said Glenn had been the kind of player everyone wanted on their team; a team player.
"He was always willing to do the hard work for success and he both gave and earned the respect of fellow players wherever he went," he said.
Greg went on to describe Glenn as a family man with a heart of gold for whom a memorial day was a fitting tribute.
"No superstar of the game would have been more passionate about his endeavours in a game than Glenn and we at Dubbo Indoor Cricket certainly feel that an annual memorial indoor cricket charity weekend is a more than suitable way to keep the memory of such a vital man alive," King said.
The memorial day is also the biggest fundraiser on the indoor cricket community's calendar.
This year, a very talented young star of the sport will be supported.
"This year, the Wells Family will be donating all proceeds to Dubbo local and upcoming cricket star Wade Burrowes," Greg said.
"Wade was recently selected to represent Australia in the under-15s side and tour Sri Lanka in May. Wade is truly a champion in the making and we feel sure Glenn would have been a huge supporter of Wade's achievements."
Previous recipients of the fundraiser have included Palliative Care, the Dubbo Base Hospital Oncology Unit and the local Men's Shed, on behalf of the Wells Family.
The event is now its third year and will be held on Sunday, April 27.
As the event is a fundraiser organisers are keenly seeking co-sponsors for the day at a cost of just $250, for which sponsors will receive three months advertisings on the big screen, plus team recognition and recognition on the team photo/certificate.
