About 80 children were booked in to attend games, music and craft activities that explored the event at the core of the Christian faith.
"The Easter Story on Three Days in Three Ways" sessions for children aged four to 10 years at Holy Trinity Anglican Church finish today at midday.
Organiser Jenny Moody said the church had held Christmas activities for children for a few years but this week's start to the school holidays had allowed it to offer Easter activities.
About 20 volunteers were involved in hosting the activities that on their first day proved "a winner".
"There are a lot of happy children and they are all going home with the true message of Easter," Mrs Moody said on Monday.
Sophie Marchant, 6, who was there with her three-year-old sister Matilda, said she liked the singing best.
Mrs Moody said all children were welcome but a booking must be made on 0423 314 323.
