GREG Ryan was the star of the show at Narromine on Saturday, riding a trifecta of winners to open the Diggers Cup program at the picturesque track.
Ryan piloted $4.60 chance Autumn Nights to victory in the first event before he got everything out of Time's Ticking ($4.00), which staged a two-horse war with Makedyn in the Narromine USMC Coral Sea Maiden (1300m).
He brought up his third winner of the day when Mio Modo was rewarded for his consistent recent form when taking out the Narromine USMC Korean Veterans Plate (1600m).
The Stephen Gleeson-trained Lyreb ploughed through the soft conditions to win the Kokoda Trail Handicap (1100m) before Samantha Clenton guided the Max Crockett-trained Canny Winsome to victory in the Rats Of Tobruk Handicap (1100m).
Howdiddydoit beat a good field of sprinters in the feature event on the program, the Narromine USMC Diggers Cup (1300m) before Catherine Markwort and George's Mistake combined for the easiest win of the day.
Fresh from winning over 1600m at Warren at his most recent run, the Garry Lunn-trained five-year-old had five lengths to spare from his rivals in the Narromine USMC Gallipoli Handicap (1600m).
Central West race photographer JANIAN McMILLAN was on course for the meeting and sent us her pick of the pics from the day.
