The Mission Australia Make Your Mark was very well received by the community, according to Mission Australia program manager Mark Willis.
"Youth Week is a great initiative to acknowledge in the community," Mark said.
"The Make Your Mark event was arranged to help celebrate Youth Week and have some fun with the kids of Dubbo."
Mark estimated about 50 young residents to have attended the festivities, participating in a large range of activities.
"Our main activity was completing a large painted canvas print."
"We were able to get the participants to paint their hands in all different colours and then write underneath one work to describe themselves and their current emotion," he said.
Mark was pleased with the efforts of Mission Australia, who had designed activities to cater for all ages and interests.
"We had bead making for the girls, along with some sporting games on the grass."
"We also included a display of traditional Aboriginal dancing, which was just fantastic to watch," he said.
"Overall it was a successful day, I think it's very important to acknowledge the youth within the community."
"It's just a shame daylight savings has started because we would have liked to have carried the event on later in the evening."
