While the Blue Mountains are as close as they will get to us here in Dubbo, back in 1992 it was a different story for a different group of royals.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh touched down in Dubbo on February 21, 1992, for a full day's visit around the city.
The couple toured the zoo, Macquarie Street, The School of Distance Education and attended a State Luncheon at the Dubbo War Memorial Civic Centre.
