He's the cult hero that cuts against the grain of traditional rugby union... and he may very well be bringing his unique sense of humour to Dubbo later in the year.
Western Force winger Nick Cummins is expected to be among a 30-man Wallabies squad that visits the city on August 4 as part of a training camp that will also include stops at Orange, Bathurst and Penrith.
Known as the 'Honey Badger', Cummins has become a fan favourite as much for his unique interviews and catchphrases as for his speed and try-scoring prowess.
His expected presence will excite fans just as much as that of stars Israel Folau, Quade Cooper and Will Genia.
Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie yesterday unveiled the plans for the central west tour, which will be used as a lead-up camp to national side's Bledisloe Cup opener against the New Zealand All Blacks on August 16.
"He's a unique individual that's for sure," McKenzie joked.
"But there is every chance Nick will be with us on the camp.
"We'll work out the nitty gritty of it all closer to the date, we've still got a fair bit of time up our sleeves and a lot can happen, but he was in the last squad so if he's playing well and injury free he has to be a big chance."
