Originally from Sydney, Katrina completed five years of classical music training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, before joining Opera Australia in 2003.
She performed with the company until 2008 when she moved to London to further her career.
"London provided more of an opportunity for an international career," she said.
From 2008, Katrina has been involved in major British companies English National Opera and Welsh National Opera.
She has also performed with the Riverside Opera, Bloomsbury Opera and Midland Opera.
During her stay in Dubbo, with the assistance of Dawn Walsh from the Macquarie Conservatorium, Katrina ran a two-hour workshop for aspiring classical musicians.
"I really enjoyed seeing the young talent of Dubbo," she said.
"There is a lot of potential out here for classical musicians."
On Monday afternoon Katrina attended the Orana Arts Harmony Singers Inc. rehearsals at St Andrews Church.
"I didn't actually perform, but my mother is interested in joining so I thought it would be nice to go along."
Katrina will be in Dubbo until April 6 when she returns to London.
The Harmony Singers are supported by Larcombes Funerals and through this association they are able to use St Andrews Church for rehearsals.
The Harmony Singers will host the Afternoon of Song on Sunday, March 30 from 3pm at St Andrews Chapel in Wingewarra Street, Dubbo.
Admission is free.
Kate Sheppeard will perform along with the Harmony Singers, Billy Palin, Nathan Bryon and Lindy Blekemore.
