Bikes given a new life are piling up at the shed despite regular purchases by Dubbo residents at bargain prices.
An extension to the shed is being considered to accommodate useable parts of donated bikes that can no longer go the distance.
"The boys that like to play with bikes get all the bits and pieces and they might make up one bike out of three or four," said shed member Kevin Sinclair when announcing the April 5 sale.
"All sorts" of bikes will be available at the sale from 9am to noon at the shed situated between Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre and the Dubbo Skate Park.
"We've got old racing bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, girls and ladies bikes, right down to bikes with trainer wheels," Mr Sinclair said.
"They are really good bikes at reasonable prices for anyone to come and buy."
Mr Sinclair said the bikes, with price tags ranging from $5 to $70, helped cover the shed's running costs.
"People come in all the time. I think they sold about four last Saturday," he said.
The clever repairers are also known to help out at short notice, for a donation.
On Saturday they replaced the wheel on the bike of a youngster after it came asunder in a crash at the skate park.
For the grand sum of $5 the youngster left the shed as "happy as Larry".
