The students were lucky enough to have expert tuition from soprano Annabelle Chaffey and bass Eddie Muliaumaseali'i from Oz Opera who performed last night at Dubbo in the regional touring production of Mozart's Don Giovanni.
Macquarie Conservatorium director Vivienne Winter said the opportunity to sing for the two professionals was a thrill for the students.
Mrs Winter said the students received feedback from the session regarding the importance of regular practice, being comfortable in your body and really knowing how it works.
She said it was important for the students to value the guidance of experienced performers and teachers like Dawn Walsh, who link today's singers with previous generations and traditions.
