The pack will include the required personal protective equipment, graffiti removal spray and cleaning equipment to ensure retailers can promptly remove graffiti on their store fronts.
Rapid graffiti removal is seen as best-practice in graffiti reduction as it diminishes the level of recognition and reward achieved by graffiti vandals, with the preferred timeframe being within 48-hours from the time of reporting, or immediately if the graffiti is racist or obscene.
If the graffiti removal packs work for retailers within the CBD council will investigate expanding the program to distribute free packs to commercial areas of the city outside the CBD.
