During this time, students have learnt several safety techniques, rules and swimming strategies.
Orana Heights recently held their annual presentation evening.
This was held in the Senior Campus Hall, which was filled to capacity with hundreds of people attending.
To conclude the evening, the 2014 Student Representative Council (SRC) was announced.
The SRC are selected by the school population to represent all students in the school and organise ways for students to participate in school life.
The SRC is made up of four boys and four girls.
Year 5 students were able to nominate for the 2014 SRC.
They then had to present a speech to the staff and students about why they should be voted in for the SRC.
The 2014 SRC was announced at the presentation evening and joined their 2013 counterparts on the stage to be congratulated by the huge school community in attendance on the night.
