Several of the men's indoor cricket competitions at Dubbo Sports World are reaching the pointy end of the season, with teams hitting their grand final straps.
In the Macquarie Inn A-grade, Mat Skinner's Choose Your Weapon squad showed Team Bundy who was boss in the preliminary final, with a 123-76 win.
Jacob Bruce was strong with the bat for Choose Your Weapon, making 27 runs. From the bowling stocks, Tom Skinner put in a top effort, taking 3/4, while Aaron Sutton starred with 6/7.
For Team Bundy, Jackson Peacock strutted his stuff with 20 runs. With the ball, Justin Knudsen, Steve McDowell and Darren Davies all took two wickets apiece.
Choose Your Weapon will now face minor premiers Hot Docs Thunder led by Dan French in the grand final.
In the Zoo FM B-grade, Fireants stung the Tropical Thunders with a 131-103 victory. Scott Tucker and Josh Toole compiled a nice partnership for the Ants, scoring 37 and 18 respectively.
Tucker took a hat-trick while fellow bowler Tom Mitchell also put his stamp on the game with figures of 2/5. Grahame Allan for Fireants also deserves a mention for scoring 22 runs and claiming two wickets.
For the Tropical Thunders Yogi Chalwa top-scored again with 27 runs, while Brad Murahari made 23.
Yogi also showed his skills with the ball recording 2/5.
The Fireants will now face Kel Blacketts CCC side in the ZooFM B-grade grand final on Thursday night.
In Orana Floor Sanding C-grade battle, Marty Nelson's Shoe Goo were too strong for OFS in the preliminary final recording a 155-62 wipeout result. Pat and Marty Nelson put together a huge partnership of 50.
Liam Manning and Al Lloyd were also strong for Shoe Goo going just that bit better finishing with a 52-run partnership.
Pat Nelson was also a gun in the bowling stakes, taking 5/-4, while Adlai Shipp took 5/-21.
For the opposition, John Marks and Matt Lambert were strong with the bat, scoring 23 and 38 in a 61-run partnership.
Their best bowler was Peter Wark on 3/8.
Shoe Goo will now take on Jack Presscott's aptly named Slappers team in the big one. The early money is for a positive result for the Slappers who will be looking for big performances from their more experienced players in the shape of Simon Madgewick and Paul Stephens.
