Dubbo City Council confirmed the popular public facility had graffiti spray-painted on it in an attack not unlike one at the Victoria Park precinct last week, which was an estimated $10,000 blow.
As the council calculated removal costs for the most recent incident Dubbo mayor Mathew Dickerson said closed-circuit television (CCTV) was under consideration for hot spots.
"Staff are investigating options and feasibility in regard to CCTV and the latest incidences of vandalism," he said.
"However we are aware of the fact that this is a behavioural issue and behavioural change is needed."
Cr Dickerson said the council would continue to work with police and other agencies to reduce anti-social behaviour by "small sections" of the community.
The awareness campaign the council had begun rolling out was expected to assist in creating change, he said.
"(It will show) it's not cool to waste people's time, money and efforts on repairing damage caused by one person's idea of fun when it could be directed on other programs, projects and initiatives that benefit the wider community," he said.
City coffers have already taken a hit in the past four months.
The council had reported costs of all vandalism reached more than $24,700 in the first three months of the financial year, before the latest incidents at the Victoria Park precinct, the Western Plains Cultural Centre and Tracker Riley Cycleway.
The concrete cycleway had been sprayed with paint similar to that used in the three Victoria Park targets - Dubbo Skate Park, the Family Day Care Centre and the men's toilet block, she said.
One teenager faced Dubbo Children's Court on Monday on 14 counts of damaging property and police said the damage from the graffiti was estimated to tally more than $50,000.
Orana Local Area Command acting crime manager Mark Meredith said on Tuesday no one had been charged for the cycleway offence and investigations continued.
