Tina Lee McNeilly, 44, of Geurie, and Amanda Jean Grimes, 26, of Bourke, pleaded guilty to charges of behaving in an offensive manner in public.
The court heard the women were arrested in Talbragar Street at 1.23am.
Bloody and disheveled, both claimed to have been assaulted.
Police facts tendered to the court said McNeilly was standing outside a takeaway food shop making gestures to customers waiting at the counter.
Racist remarks were directed at Grimes who came out and argued with McNeilly.
Police said the women yelled and abused each other and exchanged punches.
Magistrate Andrew Eckhold was told both women were moderately affected by alcohol.
The police prosecution said McNeilly was subject to a good behaviour bond at the time of the fight.
Magistrate Eckhold called for a full pre-sentence report.
The charge was adjourned to October 23. Grimes was placed on a six-month supervised good behaviour bond.
"You were fined for the same offence not long ago,'' the magistrate said. "This can't be happening in the main street of Dubbo.''
