Onlookers saw the peculiar sight of the old Timbrebongie church being trucked down Old Dubbo Road.
Once at Dundullimal Homestead several workers in high visibility shirts directed the large load into the marked out area for the church surrounded by construction fencing.
It was the fifth time the old Timbrebongie church has been moved in its long history since it believed to have been built in the 1870s and has ties to Saint Mary MacKillop.
It is thought to be the original Timbrebongie Roman Catholic Church owned for 70 years by Duncan MacKillop, the uncle of Australia's only saint.
The Daily Liberal previously reported that the church would be moved in April 2012 when it was planned to be trucked to Dundullimal Homestead that June.
It was reported at the time that every 500 metres the church was moved cost about $500.
The National Trust of Australia received a $20,000 grant in 2012 for the Dundullimal Church Project.
Rose Gardens Tourist Park in Narromine was the former home of the old church.
The church will be used for wedding celebrations, naming ceremonies, renewing wedding vows and funerals.
