A man and a woman were charged in relation to the murder on Saturday, refused bail and appeared before Dubbo Local Court yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Warren Road in Gilgandra about 3am on Saturday after it was reported a man had been stabbed.
An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said paramedics had received a call at 2.55am with reports a man had been stabbed on the corner of Warren Road and Federation Street.
Police found a 21-year-old man who had suffered stab wounds to his neck and arm.
The young man was pronounced dead after being taken to Gilgandra District Hospital.
A 21-year-old man was arrested by police and taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with murder.
After further investigation police also arrested an 18-year-old woman at 11.30am on Saturday.
The woman was taken to Gilgandra Police Station and charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
Police are continuing inquires into the murder.
