Police have confirmed that the body of a deceased male found yesterday during a search in bushland near Old Coast Road is that of missing Australind teenager Joshua Paul Mcleod.
Police and SES volunteers located the body in bushland near Old Coast Road, Australind, on Friday evening.
A spokesperson from the WA Police Media said the death is not being treated as suspicious and local police will prepare a file for the coroner.
This news comes after police were seen cordoning off a section of bushland off Old Coast Road at about 5.30pm on Friday.
The area was about 150 metres away from where the teenager was last seen at the Australind Tavern on June 26.
SES volunteers started their search through dense bush land and along the Collie River in Clifton Park for missing teenager Joshua Paul Mcleod at about 8am on Friday around the Lucy Victoria Avenue area.
Major Crime traveled from Perth to assist South West police with the search and investigations.
