It is another staged payment for the project costing a total of $79.8 million.
The budget also contained $2 million for the Peak Hill Multi Purpose Service and $2.8 million for the Gulgong Multi Purpose Service.
Yesterday's budget included $1.2 billion for new and improved hospitals, representing an increase of 10 per cent in capital works spending from the previous year.
"From Peak Hill to Port Macquarie, Bega to Blacktown to Mount Druitt, there will be over $1.2 billion worth of capital works in the coming year alone," NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner said.
"I am very proud that, in its first term, the NSW government committed $4.7 billion to upgrading hospital infrastructure across the state.
"The capital funding provisions for health in the NSW budget is about more than bricks and mortar - it is about building the hospitals and health care facilities our patients and staff expect and deserve."
Other staged payments for regional projects included $42.1 million for the $270.1 million Wagga Wagga Hospital redevelopment, $59.5 million for the $110 million Port Macquarie Hospital expansion, and $45.8 million for the $86 million Wollongong Hospital elective surgery unit.
The state government is contributing $72.7 million and the federal government $7.1 million to the current redevelopment of Dubbo Base Hospital.
