There will be four more major rides at the annual event than there have been in past years with about 30 major rides estimated to be at the Dubbo Showground for the community to enjoy from May 3 to 5.
Dubbo man and Showmen's Guild of Australasia delegate Frank Laurie said 2013 would see one of the largest collection of rides the Dubbo show has seen in some years.
"It is one of the better shows in the western region, it is a hub," he said.
The Hard Rock, Midnight Express and Sky Fire are some of the rides that will be at the 2013 Orana Mutual Dubbo Show for the first time.
"I haven't been here for a couple of years but there is certainly more equipment here," Mr Laurie said.
"It is going to be a good variety and there is some good stuff here."
At this point of year many ride owners would normally be heading north for shows in Queensland but the early Easter has given them time to attend Dubbo Show.
"What happens is we head off earlier," Mr Laurie said.
"We would go to Bathurst and then head up."
Some of the Queensland shows that ride owners would attend include the Gympie Show and the Ipswich Show.
Dubbo Show Society secretary Sue Hood praised the effort the Showmen's Guild of Australasia makes every year for the Dubbo show.
"We don't interfere we just watch it happen," she said.
"Their delegates set it up, it is very well organised."
Mrs Hood hoped a ticket discount would encourage people to have fun on the rides at this years show.
"There is a $5 discount for every $25 that people spend," she said.
"We want it known that we have kept out gate prices down to $10."
Dubbo Show Society president Marty Morris said there would be a variety of other fast-paced entertainment for people to enjoy including the wood chopping and camp drafting with the $10 gate fee.
"We hope the weather is on our side and we do get numbers at the gate," he said.
"It is not very dear for a full day out you go to the movies and it is $14 for two hours."
